Monroe woman killed in Rutledge single-car crash

A Monroe woman was killed on Feb. 1 in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 278. According to reports obtained from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Cameron Pound was dispatched to the scene at approximately 2 a.m.

Warrant sought for suspect who fled traffic stop

Morgan County Deputy Cameron Pound was trying to conduct a routine traffic stop on a vehicle with a malfunctioning taillight but found himself in a high-speed chase on Jan. 31 after the driver of the vehicle sped away when he exited his patrol vehicle to approach the car.
