MORGAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Lower Apalachee Road address Dec. 28 in reference to stolen items.

Quantavious Marquis Smith, 31, of Madison was arrested Dec. 29 and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving while unlicensed, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce) and tampering with evidence.

Demacion Rivers, 26, of Monroe was arrested Dec. 29 and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce) and tampering with evidence.

Fredricko Rivers, 29, of Monroe was arrested Dec. 29 and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce) and tampering with evidence.

MADISON POLICE DEPARTMENT

Kyke Imari Jordan, 23, of Conyers was arrested Dec. 30 and charged with felony theft by shoplifting. Jordan is accused of concealing an iPad and an Apple watch inside the store with the intent to steal the items.

Krystal McKenzie Cardwell, 33, of Eatonton was arrested Dec. 30 and charged with DUI (refusal) and improper use of a central turn lane.

A Madison police officer was dispatched to Morgan Medical Center Dec. 21 in reference to a male who shot himself by accident at a North Main Street address. The man said he loaded a handgun because he thought someone was outside his home but put the gun away when he discovered no one. Later he reached the firearm and accidentally pulled the trigger, causing a bullet to go through his leg.

Gregory Antonio Gunn Gibbs, 52, of Conyers was arrested Jan. 2 and charged with DUI and failure to obey a stop sign.

A Madison police officer was dispatched to an Eatonton Road address Dec. 30 in reference to a theft. The complainant said the tag on the Auto Zone delivery vehicle was missing.

GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

On Jan. 1, deputies arrested Anthony Byron Burdette, 590 Macon Hwy., Athens, for failure to meet lawful duty upon striking unattended vehicle, failure to maintain lane and reckless driving.

On Dec. 31, deputies arrested Nehemias Amadeias Chavez-Perez, 1431 North Main Street, Greensboro, for failure to maintain lane and no license.

On Dec. 29, deputies arrested Maricela Cornelio, 103 Medical Acres, Eatonton, for criminal trespass.

On Dec. 31, deputies arrested Will Ingram, 4121 Riverside Drive, Madison, for criminal trespass, two counts of obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers, public drunkenness and simple battery on a peace officer.

On Jan. 1, deputies arrested Oscar Jonathan-Zacarius Isles, 4960 Lamb Ave., Union Point, for not meeting duty to stop or return to the scene of an accident, no license and failure to maintain lane.

On Dec. 30, deputies arrested Sauls Mauricio-Sosa, 103 Allen Circle, Greensboro, for no license.

On Dec. 31, deputies arrested Jhiquise Antonio McWhorter, 151 Edwards Road, White Plains, for suspended registration, no Insurance and driving while license suspended.

On Dec. 31, deputies arrested Stephanie Ann Moncrief, 1641 East Broad Street, Greensboro, on a warrant for simple battery.

On Dec. 27, deputies arrested Zacchaeus Johnmique Ross, 1433 Aaron Circle, Florence, South Carolina, for possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

On Dec. 28, deputies arrested Keishun Mandrell Shelton, 2250 Madison Hwy., Greensboro, for littering and disorderly conduct. According to reports, Shelton put his mattress in the middle of Madison Highway and set it on fire.

On Dec. 29, deputies arrested James O’Neal Smith, 1324 Homeland Drive, Parkton, North Carolina, for reckless conduct. According to reports, Smith waved a firearm at another motorist.

On Dec. 29, deputies arrested Anecia Denise Swain, 3661 Old Union Point Road, Union Point, for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. According to the report, Swain deflated the tires on a man’s car and took the valve stem caps.

On December 29, 2022, Deputies arrested Marcus White, 11235 Plantation Road, Montgomery, Alabama, for possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

On Dec. 26, deputies arrested Danaedria Dequana Worrell, 1421 Syrup Mill Crossing, Greensboro, for simple battery, criminal trespass, and three counts of cruelty to children. According to reports, Worrell got into a fight at the residence and threw a tricycle at the front window, causing it to shatter.

GREENSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT

On Friday, Dec. 23, officers responded to Ingles in reference to a customer being assaulted by an employee. The customer stated that an employee began to get irate and pushed him after he asked for assistance at self-checkout.

The employee stated that the customer was rude to her, and she pushed him. After reviewing surveillance, the employee, Harley Marie Holcomb, 17, of Greensboro was arrested on the charge of simple battery. The customer, who was identified as Henry Markell Dorsey, 40, of Greensboro was arrested on two warrants.

On Friday, Dec. 23, officers responded to the Ingles located on East Broad Street in reference to an unwanted person in the store. The complainant stated that an individual was licking icing off of the donuts. Officers made contact with Linda J. Brantley, 68, of Greensboro and issued her a criminal trespassing warning for the property of Ingles.

On Friday, Dec. 23, officers responded to Dollar General located on Willow Run Road in reference to a shoplifting complaint. The complainant stated that a customer stole a quart of oil and attempted to leave the store. After further investigation, officers arrested Remona Jenise Hicks, 52, of Greensboro on the charge of shoplifting. Hicks was also issued a criminal trespassing warning for the property of Dollar General.

On Saturday, Dec. 24, officers responded to the area of Adrian Circle in reference to a fight in progress. After further investigation, officers arrested Tommy Bradford, 62, of Greensboro on the charge of battery.

On Saturday, Dec. 24, officers responded to the area of Poole Road in reference to a theft by taking. The complainant stated that $1500 cash was stolen from her residence by a 17-year-old of Greensboro resident. Later, the money was returned, and the complainant declined to press charges.

On Saturday, Dec. 24, officers responded to the area of North East Street, in reference to alarm activation. All windows and doors were secured.

On Sunday, Dec. 25, officers responded to the area of East South Street in reference to a domestic incident. After speaking with both parties, they agreed to separate and handle the issue in magistrate court.

On Sunday Dec. 25, officers responded to the area of South West Street in reference to a verbal dispute. The complainant stated that another individual kept opening the refrigerator all night. The complainant was advised that this was not a reason to call 911 and if it happened again, both parties were going to be arrested for misuse of 911. The complainant was advised of the eviction process.

On Monday, Dec. 26, officers responded to the Greene County LEC to serve a warrant on Natalie Alexander, 43, of Greensboro for a probation violation.

On Monday, Dec. 26, officers responded to the area of West Richland Avenue in reference to a verbal dispute. The complainant stated that she wanted her boyfriend to leave the residence after going through his phone. The complainant was advised of the eviction process. Both parties were separated to avoid any further conflict.

On Monday, Dec. 26, officers responded to the area of Chapel Road in reference to a citizen’s complaint. The complainant stated that his kids mother dropped their kids off in his yard without his knowledge. The complainant stated that there is a court order for the parents to alternate weeks and this week was the kid’s mother’s week. The complainant was advised that a report would be ready in three to five business days.

On Wednesday, Dec. 28, officers responded to the area of Canaan Circle in reference to a utility pole on fire. Officers extinguished the fire and turned the scene over to Greensboro Fire Department.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, officers responded to the Quality Inn located on South Main Street in reference to threats made towards an employee. After further investigation, officers arrested Alisheay Markayla Ingram, 20, of Covington on the charge of simple assault.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, officers responded to Burger King located on Hospitality Drive in reference to a simple assault. After further investigation, officers arrested Kizzie Juaqela Ash, 39, of Union Point on the charge of simple assault.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, officers responded to the area of Canaan Circle in reference to an alarm activation. All windows and doors were secured.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, while patrolling the area of East Broad Street, Officers observed a driver in violation of the hands-free law. Officers initiated a traffic stop and later arrested Josue Misael Olivia, 32, of Greensboro on charges of the hands-free law violation, no insurance and driving while unlicensed.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, while patrolling the area of South Laurel and West Broad Street, officers observed a vehicle stop in the roadway and turn their hazard lights on. Officers stopped to check on the driver. After further investigation, officers arrested Wydonna Patrice Alexander, 41, of Greensboro on charges of driving while license suspended and no insurance. Alexander was issued a warning for suspended registration.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, officers responded to Legacy Health Rehabilitation Facility in reference to a deceased person. No foul play was suspected. The scene was turned over to the Greene County EMS and the coroner.

On Friday, Dec. 30, officers responded to the area of Apalachee Avenue in reference to an unruly juvenile who refused to get in a vehicle with the mother. Officers spoke with the juvenile who then complied with the officers. There was no further incident.

On Friday, Dec. 30, officers met with an individual who stated that his truck was damaged on the previous day by his driver. The complainant stated that the driver struck a tree on East Greene Street. The complainant was advised that a report would be completed within three to five days.

On Friday, Dec. 30, officers responded to the area of Mill Street in reference to a harassment complaint. The complainant stated that an individual in whom she has previously filed a report on continues to come to her residence harassing her. The complainant was advised to get copies of her report and file a stay-away order with the judge. There was no further incident.

On Saturday, Dec. 31, officers responded to the area of South Main Street in reference to a verbal dispute. The complainant stated that her child’s father took the battery out of her vehicle. The battery was returned to the vehicle.

On Saturday, Dec. 31, officers responded to the Village Apartments located on Rachel Street in reference to a person on the property who had been previously banned from walking around with a bat. Officers made contact wit Kennardo Antwan Bailey, 47, of White Plains who was behind an apartment peeping through the window. Bailey was arrested on the charges of criminal trespassing and peeping tom.
