Woman buys $10K in merchandise with counterfeit money

The Madison Police Department is investigating a case in which an Alabama woman allegedly used counterfeit money to purchase almost $10,000 in merchandise from several Beall’s department store locations.According to reports, a woman identified as Alizay Montero Keys, 25, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Madison police officers were dispatched to the Exxon off Monticello Highway on Jan. 19 in reference to a burglary in progress.Officers noted when they arrived that the alarm had been activated and the glass on the left side of the store was broken.
