Commissioners approve expansion at Del Webb community

Pulte Homes, builder of Del Webb, was given rezoning approval to make an existing 50.5-acre site a planned Unit Development (PUD) from its former A1 agriculture designation. The acreage is in the northeast corner of the large 55-and-older community on Askew Road.

City, county continue mediation over LOST split

Hoping that last-minute negotiations may save the day, both Greene County and the city of Greensboro formally met in mediation to discuss the county’s “last-and-final offer” of a split of Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) funds.
