The Alliance Home & Land Group (AHLG) team of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices RPA Realty selected the Greene County Food Pantry (GCFP) and Putnam Christian Outreach (PCO) as recipients for its 4th-quarter “Alliance Gives Back” program.

“What better way to welcome in the holidays and close out the year than by selecting two very well-deserving organizations that do so much for our local community,” AHLG co-founder and partner Bob Miller said. “Contributing to the missions of Greene County Food Pantry and Putnam Christian Outreach was important to our entire team since we are so heavily invested in our community.”

On behalf of Alliance Gives Back, Miller and fellow company co-founder and partner Rich Johns presented 48 turkeys, 24 to each organization, along with non-perishable food donations collected from the community.

“We’re glad that we’ve been able to help support these organizations, as all of their hard work does not go unnoticed by us, and especially at the holidays,” Johns said.

He went on to explain the 48 turkeys represented the number of property closings AHLG had for the year to date.

“So it only seemed natural to go with that number,” Johns added. “And we’re looking forward to increasing that number year over year!”

GCFP Board President Steve Peluso and Assistant Coordinator Maya Callaway joined AHLG to show off their “new-to-them” van while accepting the Alliance Gives Back donation and emphasized that donations, in general, are down this year, but needs are up in Greene County.

Meanwhile, PCO President Rex Corlett and Store Manager Lynda Farley accepted the PCO turkeys, with Corlett saying, “We have been praying and praying for turkeys this year and didn’t know how we were going to do it. These are answered prayers.”

Everyone with Alliance Gives Back said they enjoyed the opportunity to sit down and learn more about these worthy organizations and how the community in general can be of greater assistance to them in all they do.
