MCCS announces hires of principals, assistant principal

Morgan County Charter Schools recently announced new leadership hires set to begin at the elementary, middle, and high school levels for the 2026-27 school year. The BOE officially approved the hires on May 11 after exiting an executive session at its monthly board meeting.

MCCS breaks ground on new K-5 combined school

Morgan County Charter Schools kicked off construction of its new K-5 facility with a groundbreaking ceremony on April 23.The board of education celebrated by turning the soil with several community members, local officials, and teachers in attendance.

MCCS names Cooper as next MCES principal

Morgan County Charter Schools recently announced the appointment of Dr. Wesley Cooper as the next principal of Morgan County Elementary School, effective at the end of the 2025-26 school year. Cooper currently serves as the assistant principal at MCES and the school district’s K-12 math specialist.

MCSS Class of 2025 CTAE students have 100% graduation rate

Morgan County Charter Schools recently revealed a major milestone from the class of 2025, the school district’s largest graduating class to date. The recent senior class held a 100% graduation rate among students enrolled in the school’s Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) program.

Morgan County Charter Schools (MCCS) recently revealed a 93.1% graduation rate for the Class of 2025. The announcement came four months after Morgan County High School held its graduation ceremony for 257 students, its largest senior class to date.

MCCS recognizes teachers, staff at celebration

During its End-of-Year Celebration on May 28, Morgan County Charter Schools (MCCS) awarded the “Going Beyond” service coin to Chelsea Hayes, Dr. Dennis Fordham, and Dr. Virgil Cole, whose leadership, courage, and compassion have made a lasting impact on the district.
