Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Inc. (NHN) announced last week a new partnership with Social Circle Ace Home Center to serve as the exclusive lumber provider to NHN’s Beds for Kidz program.
“What stands out about the Ace team is how much they genuinely care about people and their community,” NHN Executive Director Allyn Rippin said. “It is reflected in their store as much as their ethos and culture of their business. Our shared commitment will help us reach even more families in a meaningful way.”
Since 1956, Social Circle Ace Home Center has built a reputation as being much more than just a hardware store. With 63 employees, many of whom have been with the company for decades, the Social Circle Ace reflects a strong commitment to people and service.
The store’s décor includes vintage farm artifacts — many donated by loyal local customers over the years — plus unique features such as an on-site archery pro shop and indoor range.
Store co-owner Ted Callaway joined the business in 1980 and helped shape it into a locally minded, family-owned store known for warmth, character, and a wide selection of goods.
“We’ve always preached that our business is about people — and NHN is all about people,” Callaway stated.
This new partnership with Social Circle Ace Home Center will specifically support NHN’s Beds for Kidz program, which provides new, hand-built beds to children in Greene and Putnam counties who lack beds and may be sleeping on the floor or sharing a sofa with siblings.
Callaway has been personally engaged with the program since early this year, helping to build and then deliver beds to local families.
“I’ve been involved in other nonprofits over the years, but NHN is different. You can see the process from start to finish and know you’ve played a small part in making life better for someone less fortunate,” Callaway said.
