Greene County Habitat for Humanity depends on strong local partnerships to keep affordable homeownership within reach for families in Greene County.
For more than a decade, Dalton Carpet One has been part of that work by helping Habitat complete homes with quality flooring that helps transform a house into a home while providing the durability families need for everyday life.
The partnership has made a meaningful difference in construction and for the families who purchase Habitat homes. By contributing flooring materials, Dalton helps reduce overall building costs while giving homeowners a durable product they can depend on well into the future.
“Our relationship with Dalton Carpet One over the last many years cannot be summed up in just a few words. They have played an integral part in our being able to help 47 more local families afford to purchase their own homes, changing the future trajectory of their entire families’ lives. We are grateful for partnerships like this one that make it possible for us to continue our mission,” said Jan Broughton, board director for Greene County Habitat for Humanity.
“Dalton’s support has never been limited to materials,” said Patrick Kozma, construction manager for Greene County Habitat for Humanity. “The company has shown up with the kind of reliability and responsiveness that makes a real difference during the building process.”
“They have been a tremendous supporter and an immensely reliable partner,” Kozma added.
“From Casey Jo [Hanson] and Paul to the delivery and installation teams, they treat us just as well as they treat any builder. They are quick to respond, quick to help, and always willing to support our mission.”
Kozma also credits Dalton with helping Greene County Habitat build stronger connections within the local construction community.
“Casey Jo has been a major cheerleader for our mission,” Kozma said. “She gave us a platform to present to the builders' association and explain in more detail what Greene County Habitat is doing for families in this community. That kind of support means a great deal to us.”
For Hanson, supporting Habitat is a natural extension of the work Dalton Carpet One does every day.
“I come from a construction family, so I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the people that build things and the impact they have on others,” she said. “What Habitat does goes beyond building houses. They’re helping make dreams come true for families in our community, and it is an honor for Dalton Carpet One to be a part of that.”
In many Habitat homes, Dalton provides luxury vinyl plank flooring because it offers the right balance of affordability, durability, and appearance. The company has also helped identify carpet remnants and other available materials that may be useful in future homes, allowing Habitat to build carefully and make the most of donated resources.
For Greene County Habitat, Dalton’s continued partnership represents the kind of community support that keeps its work moving forward. Every Habitat home is built through many hands, and Dalton Carpet One has remained a steady part of that process. Habitat is deeply grateful for the care and generosity Dalton continues to bring to local families.
