Heritage Hall important to Madison’s history

Oklahoma man arrested with 10 lbs. of pot

A Greene County deputy arrested an Oklahoma man on July 1 after K-9 Deputy Griff alerted him to narcotics during a traffic stop. Ted Jacob Dohmann, 45, faces charges of trafficking marijuana after originally being pulled over for following too closely.

A motion to construct a new building for Greene County’s Planning and Zoning, Tax Commissioner and Tax Assessors office was disrupted Tuesday night by the controversy over the status of the Greene County Courthouse.

Lake Oconee boat parade inspires creative family fun

A local family has taken its deep-rooted love for Independence Day to new heights in the past few years.Matt Massey and his wife, Lanier, have enjoyed hopping on their pontoon boat with friends and family to participate in the Lake Oconee boat parade for the past few years.

Progress being made for Gatewood's new high school

On Oct. 4 last year, Gatewood School officials, local community leaders, and representatives of SmithBuilt Construction Group gathered to toss the ceremonial first shovelfuls of dirt that signified the start of building a new high school in Eatonton.
