Museum hosts annual Founder’s Day event

What’s the future of the Greene County courthouse?

The Greene County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a call meeting on Monday, July 29, to discuss how to solve the problem of overcrowding at the Greene County Courthouse in downtown Greensboro.

Social media video spurs local investigation in Greene County

A viral video depicting a man calling himself “Max”, who confronted another man with evidence of inappropriate communications with a 12-year-old child has led to an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

City approves rate study, townhome preliminary plat

Greensboro City Council held its second meeting of the month Monday night and discussed several new concerns within the community. The meeting lasted nearly an hour due to the council’s decision to go into executive session regarding an undisclosed legal concern.

City accepts bid on Hill Park restroom project

After years of delays, Hill Park in Madison may finally get the restrooms city leaders have wanted to install there.The Madison City Council accepted the low bid on the project during a July 8 meeting. E&E Construction submitted a low bid of $263,242.

Called meetings scheduled on budget, courthouse

The Greene County Board of Commissioners has announced that it will hold special meetings on Friday, July 26, and Monday, July 29, both at 8 a.m. The meetings are open to the public and will be held at the BOC Conference Room (Suite 201) at 1034 Silver Dr. in Greensboro.
