Two more arrests connected to prison contraband

Greene County deputies may have interrupted yet another contraband operation delivering material into the Georgia prison system last week.As a result, Heron Casper Coffee, Jr., 33, of Lawrenceville, and Kelsey Devon Foulk, 33, of Griffin, were arrested Aug.

Newly staffed fire station, fireboat battle blaze

A fire broke out in a house on the 200 block of Rockville Springs Drive on Monday. There are no fire hydrants in that area, but thankfully, there’s Lake Sinclair, said Putnam County Fire Chief Thomas McClain.

Morgan Medical Center recently announced plans to implement a $27 million expansion and renovation project at its 1740 Lions Club Rd. campus. With this addition, the Madison hospital plans to expand its agenda of services provided and upgrade multiple sectors of the main building.

Three seriously injured in head-on collision

A head-on collision caused by a driver passing another vehicle in a no-passing zone sent three Eatonton men to a hospital with serious injuries Saturday, according to authorities.Injured in the crash were Dazavius Little, 28, Sandy Brown, 46, and William Few, 26, all of Eatonton.

NGC holds ribbon cutting for Greensboro’s new ExtraMile
