Oconee Brewing Company owners publicized on Facebook Tuesday that the brewery will be going “dormant.”Company owners announced that the building, which had been home to the brewery for 7.5 years, has been sold. Ameris Bank foreclosed on the Greensboro property earlier this year due to more than $1.

Driver caught with 18 pounds of marijuana

Madison’s Georgia Safari Conservation Park (GSCP) celebrated its first anniversary in business on Monday, June 2.In honor of the milestone, the park hosted a brief ceremony featuring refreshments and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which the Madison-Morgan Chamber of Commerce attended.

Rachel Kinsaul, an agricultural science teacher at Morgan County High School, is the 2026 Georgia Teacher of the Year. State School Superintendent Richard Woods made the announcement at a banquet held May 30 at Lanier Islands to celebrate all District Teachers of the Year.

Morgan County High School held its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025 on May 23 at Bill Corry Stadium in Madison. Two hundred fifty-seven graduating seniors received their diplomas at the ceremony, with friends and family celebrating in the stands.
