An Eatonton mother was flown by medical helicopter to an area trauma center following a single-car crash on Pea Ridge Road Saturday.
According to Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills, a 16-year-old was driving south on Pea Ridge Road shortly after 1:30 p.m.

Parent alleges absence of transparency by LOA board

BOE avoids inflation by rolling back millage rate

Last week, the Greene County Board of Education (BOE) met to announce a new millage rate of 10.311 and budget for fiscal year 2024.
The millage rate has dropped every year since 2018, and the BOE recently broke ground on a new elementary school being built off Meadow Crest Road.

Morgan County woman hospitalized by dog attack

An 81-year-old Morgan County woman was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta Aug. 17 after a dog attack at a home on Apalachee Way in Buckhead. Janet Morrison suffered cuts, bruises and a broken hip during the attack.

Maserati found ablaze in Madison

An expensive Italian luxury car was found ablaze in the early morning hours of Aug. 21, near Davis Academy Road and Newborn Road.
Morgan County deputy Christopher Lash was first on the scene. According to Lash’s report, a white Maserati was fully engulfed in flames when he arrived.
