Habitat receives Del Webb 100 Who Care donation

The 100 Who Care Del Webb Lake Oconee (100wcDWLO) chapter made its most generous donation to date last month as it presented a $6,340 check to Greene County Habitat for Humanity (GCHFH).

Madison celebrates nation’s birthday

A few hundred Americans – most of them Morgan County residents – put away any differences they may have had for a few hours on July 3 and gathered on the lawn of the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center on Foster Street and S. Main Street to celebrate Independence Day with a picnic and concert.

Sounds of lively music and the clopping of shoes filled The Plaza Art Center June 11-15 as the participants of Camp Broadway learned their lines, dance moves, and songs, preparing for the “big day” – a presentation of the performance to the audience on the last day.

Fun and freedom define 4th annual Lake Oconee Boat Parade

Joe Williamson thought of the idea for an Independence Day boat parade on Lake Oconee a few years ago. Well, the event has become a huge draw for residents on July 4th, who live on the Morgan County side of Lake Oconee. The fun and exciting spectacle is now entering its fourth year of existence.
