Grammy winner’s concert to benefit LOA arts program

Mike Farris, who won the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Roots Gospel Album (“Shine for All the People”), will be performing on March 31, at Oconee Brewing Company (OBC) in downtown Greensboro. All proceeds from the special, one-night-only event will benefit the arts program at Lake Oconee Academy (LOA).

New state law might resolve LOA-BOE issues

Two of the big issues in the 2020 lawsuit that Lake Oconee Academy filed against the Greene County Board of Education were not resolved with the settlement reached in January.

Titans begin region play, continue to roll

The Lake Oconee Academy baseball team is currently 10-2 overall and 3-1 in Region 8 Class A Division II competition entering Thursday’s doubleheader against Aquinas in Augusta.

Titans back line holding strong halfway through season

After going to last year’s Class 1A Public state semifinals, the Lake Oconee Academy boys soccer team has continued to ride some of that momentum to have a productive first half of the season.

Lady Titans have successful outing in ‘Battle at the Border’

The Lake Oconee Academy girls’ golf team recently attended “The Battle at the Border” event hosted by Brookwood School to start its 2023 season. The event was held at the Green Island Country Club on the banks of the Chattahoochee River on Feb.

Lady Titans fall to Clinch County in state title

In a game that went down to the wire, Lake Oconee Academy ultimately came up short against Clinch County in its attempt to repeat as state champions.  The Lady Panthers held on and defeated the Lady Titans 45-42 as senior Hannah Heinen's desperation 3-point attempt fell short of the basket.

Lady Titans continue to roll after third-straight region title
