LOA soccer teams earn first-round byes to begin playoffs

Soccer has been a successful spring sport at Lake Oconee Academy for the past couple of seasons, and this year is no different. Both the girls' and boy's programs ended up well above .500 and finished second in their areas.

Both Titan tennis teams win region

The Lake Oconee Academy tennis teams recently struck gold again with a huge accomplishment. A few weeks ago, the boys program came away with its third straight region title after dominating the competition all season long.

Lady Titans finish second in Region 8

The Lake Oconee Academy girls soccer team has found a lot of momentum over the last month, and it comes at an ideal point in the season.

Towns County sweeps Titans in crucial region series

In a pivotal region series, Towns County easily swept Lake Oconee Academy last week. The Indians outscored the Titans 17-3 in the three-game stanza, which began last Tuesday.

Most athletic programs at Lake Oconee Academy have been thriving over the last several years and athletic director Chris Ingle is one of the main contributors to their development.

LOA team Literary Meet region champs; one state winner

High school students from Lake Oconee Academy competed on March 11, at the Region 8A - Div. II Literary Meet, where for the third year in a row they were named region champions.

Big second half helps Titans past Tigers

The Lake Oconee Academy boys soccer team is currently on a three-game winning streak since its loss to Georgia Military Prep a few weeks ago, with its most recent victory coming in dominant fashion against Washington-Wilkes last Friday evening.

Three Lady Titans recognized for All-State honors

After another season that involved a trip to the GHSA state final championship game, the Lake Oconee Academy girls basketball program saw three of its players get recognized for their talents at the All-State level.

Titans sweep Aquinas, now set to face Washington-Wilkes for top spot in region

Lake Oconee Academy defeated Aquinas 14-6 and 6-4 last week in the first two games of the series. The Titans were beating the Fightin’ Irish 6-5 during game three, although it was called due to darkness. The contest is set to be finished in a makeup game sometime next month.
