Harbor Club hosts 9/11 remembrance walk

Last Wednesday, firefighter Bob Welsh led a remembrance walk at Harbor Club in Greensboro, where attendees followed him on a mile-long walk from the golf course cart barn to the flagpole at the neighborhood’s entrance.After a minute of silence in quiet prayer, the flag was lowered at 8:46 a.m.

Independence Day at Harbor Club

Following a long annual tradition established by Harbor Club owner Brandon Matney and his wife Jennifer, Greene County Sheriff Donnie Harrison raised the flag outside the Harbor Club clubhouse on Independence Day last Thursday.

Harbor Club holds pickleball tournament

The Harbor Club Pickleball Association held a members-only tournament April 20 with more than 30 players in both the intermediate and advanced levels that were combined for play.Each game lasted 10 minutes. There were eight rounds with partners and opponents changing after every game.

Task force formed to work between Harbor Club, residents

A task force was formed last year to better support and inform homeowners at Harbor Club as they tackle several issues with the ultimate goal of taking over the Property Owners Association (POA).  Harbor Club is one of the primary gated communities at Lake Oconee with more than 800 homes.

Harbor Club residents seek control over community issues

Residents of Harbor Club have formed a task group to address taking control of the Property Owners Association (POA). This comes on the heels of concerns addressed earlier in the year about a big subdivision that was proposed adjacent to Harbor Club, which, for now, is off the table.

Beacon Management assumes Harbor Club HOA management

Beacon Management Services, a property management company headquartered in Atlanta, may manage several properties throughout the state, but its newest client, Harbor Club here in Greensboro, maybe its toughest initially.
The Cove at Harbor Club would be built in three phases and eventually have 1,400 homes on land that is currently zoned agricultural.
