There was a large community turnout to review the initial comprehensive strategic plan for Greene County. Held last week, more than 50 county residents came to hear and see planning boards that outline supportive measures and to understand plans underway. It was also an opportunity to provide further input following the first visionary meeting held last November.

Man arrested on meth trafficking charge

A man who said he had recently moved to Eatonton was arrested on trafficking methamphetamine charges on March 20 after a Greene County Deputy found a white powder in his car that the man said was merely sugar.

Greene County’s wrestling program has seen its ups and downs over the last 30 years, but it’s looking to change that with its most recent hire. The GCHS administration just signed Aubrey Fortson, who will be taking over for former head coach Todd Clifton.
