FOOTBALL: Lions spoil Tigers' plans for playoff run

It was a rough night at Tiger Stadium for Greene County and head coach Terrance Banks.
No. 3-seed Christian Heritage defeated the No. 2-seed Tigers 37-6 last Friday night. The loss eliminates them from contention in the Class A Division II playoffs.

Man arrested for striking woman with bat in Flying J parking lot

Greene County deputies arrested an Alabama man on Nov. 5, after witnesses said a man hit a woman in the Flying J parking with a baseball bat.
Walter Lee Blackmon, 45, is being charged with battery and reckless conduct.
