The first “Live, Work, Play” development in Greensboro made its exciting debut at a well-attended groundbreaking at its new site off Linger Longer Road.

Slated for construction in the first quarter of the new year, Airabella will occupy 132 acres and feature a hotel, nine-hole golf course, a local brewery, condos, townhomes and single-family homes. Many residents see it as a welcome addition and others not due to traffic and other well voiced concerns.

The concept for Airabella is not new. Live, Work, Play communities are sprouting up both east and west of Atlanta and offer amenities all in a local footprint. It will address an ever-growing housing shortage in the area and offer dining options including Oconee Brewing Company, which will occupy a strategic corner and act as one of several anchors to the development.

Its popular downtown brewery will remain in the city of Greensboro. Completion of the development is expected in 2025.
