Greene County deputies arrested two employees of the City of Greensboro last week after one of them was spotted by deputies urinating on the side of the road.

A Greensboro woman was arrested on a laundry list of charges in Eatonton on March 12, following a police chase involving several law enforcement agencies at speeds approaching 100 mph. Marguerite Elizabeth Crumbley, 42, faces charges of reckless driving, DUI, misdemeanor obstruction, fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement officers, failure to stop at a stop sign, and failure to maintain lane.

An 18-year-old Greene County man was arrested on several charges related to what was described as an inappropriate relationship between him and a juvenile female, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

The cement mixer fleeing westbound on I-20 Monday morning may have started out as a churning urn of burning funk but ended up a hefty hunk of steaming junk after Georgia State Patrol troopers disabled it just inside the Greene County line.

The non-competitive, 12th annual Firefly Trail Ticket to Ride, presented by Athens Physical Therapy, returns March 25, and is expected to attract about 250 cyclists to roads and towns from Athens to Union Point – or Union Point to Athens. Ticket to Ride celebrates progress on the Firefly Trail and builds momentum to connect segments already complete or under construction.
