The Greene County Christian Outreach Thrift Store has joined the fight against inflation on several fronts with bargain prices for gently used clothing and household items.
The Thrift Store offers periodic 50%-off sales on select items for a great 2-for-1 opportunity, but when donated household and clothing items are sold, a 3-for-1 opportunity follows as the proceeds help to fund the Outreach, the store is able to provide jobs for four employees, and all financial and other donations are tax deductible while providing the good feeling that comes from knowing you have helped a non-profit Christian Ministry. Additionally, clothing items that are missing a button or have some other minor imperfections are sent to Martha’s Closet in Sparta, which provides free clothing to the local needy in one of Georgia’s most disadvantaged cities.
Greene County Christian Outreach operates with the sole purpose of helping the needy on a temporary basis.
Sales from the store and financial donations make it possible to provide this temporary help that so many in our community require.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday to Friday, with drop-off hours 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
