The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the death of a Morgan County woman who was killed April 26 when she fell out of a vehicle traveling on Linger Longer Road in the Reynolds Lake Oconee area of Greene County.

Lithonia man killed in I-20 crash

A Lithonia man died May 18 when his Honda Civic crashed into a concrete bridge pier supporting the Seven Islands overpass. According to Sgt. N.B. Carter of the Georgia State Patrol, 25-year-old Devonte Abner of 6458 Alford Way received fatal injuries upon impact at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Erik Adam Bodie, 41, of Martinez now faces charges of motor vehicle theft and felony fleeing and attempting to elude (due to driving in a manner that would put the public in risk/harm), as well as citations for reckless driving, running a red light as filed by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. Stolen concrete mixer leads GSP on 40-mile pursuit

The cement mixer fleeing westbound on I-20 Monday morning may have started out as a churning urn of burning funk but ended up a hefty hunk of steaming junk after Georgia State Patrol troopers disabled it just inside the Greene County line.
