Lady Dogs finish as runners-up at state

The Morgan County softball team has concluded its 2025 season, following its third consecutive trip to Columbus.The Lady Dogs ultimately ended their trip as the runner-up in Class 2A, after falling 6-2 to Sonoraville on Nov. 1.Morgan County finished the 2025 season with a 25-10 overall record.

Dogs dominate Callaway to claim region title

No. 3 Morgan County capped off the regular season with a victory over No. 5 Callaway, claiming the Region 2-2A championship.The Dogs also made history on Halloween night with their 43-22 win over the Cavaliers, marking their first 10-0 regular-season finish since 1974.
