Titans break school record in historic season

Even after a devastating loss to Drew Charter in the Final Four of the GHSA Class A-Public State Playoffs, Lake Oconee Academy’s soccer team recorded one of its most impressive offensive seasons to date.

Cheerleading extending into another Blythe generation

Lake Oconee Academy’s Ally Blythe has been cheering for as long as she can remember, although her days of motivating the Titans are numbered. She will graduate in a couple of weeks and attend the University of Georgia in the fall.

DONALSONVILLE, GA - The Lake Oconee Academy girls’ tennis team came up short against the defending state champions in Seminole County early last week in the GHSA Class A-Public Elite Eight, but that did not take away from their historic season.

Titans have new head coach in Rechenbach

The Lake Oconee Academy boys’ basketball team has a new head coach in Josiah Rechenbach. Rechenbach was brought in to turn around a program that went 0-21 this past season. LOA athletic director Chris Ingle is happy to have Rechenbach aboard.

Dennis, several other athletes qualify for state meet

Greene County High School sent several athletes to compete at the Class A-Public state sectionals meet this past weekend at Banks County High School. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams qualified numerous athletes in various events for the GHSA Class A-Public Track and Field State Championship meet.

Lady Dogs’ golf places second at region

The Morgan County girls’ golf team continued its success last week at the GHSA Area 1-AAA tournament, which was hosted at Hard Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge, Ga. The Lady Dogs qualified for the state tournament with a second-place finish behind Pierce County.
