The Lake Oconee Academy boys’ tennis team defeated Telfair County in the GHSA Class A-Public state championship three games to one on the largest hard-court venue at Berry College this past Saturday.

Bulldogs prepare for spring game

Morgan County concludes spring practice this week before hosting Walnut Grove for a scrimmage on Friday night. The Bulldogs and Warriors will square off at 7:30 p.m. in Bill Corry Stadium. MCHS head coach Clint Jenkins is entering his second year with the program.

Back to the Basics: GCHS focuses on itself this offseason

The Greene County football team has been preparing for their intersquad Black and Gold game is set to be played this Friday at 6 p.m. in Tiger Stadium. With first-year head coach Terrance Banks at the helm, the Tigers have been focusing on the fundamentals.

Jones shines bright at state track meet

Josh Jones has already accomplished so much in three years at Morgan County. His most recent triumph was placing first in both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles at the GHSA Class AAA State Championship meet this past Saturday. Jones won the 110-meter race with a time of 14.

Local martial arts school hosts Tang Soo Do Karate Championship

Ray Saltamacchio, owner and Master Instructor of Saltamacchio’s Tang Soo Do Karate School, is proud to announce that after a two-year delay due to COVID restrictions the school was able to once again hold its annual Tang Soo Do Karate Championship.
