Mark passed away on August 3, 2022 at MDAnderson in Houston, Texas, at the age of 71. Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Mirjam, his son, Noud, and his wife, Noortje, and their daughters, Emma and Claire, his son Mark and his wife, Lolly, and their son, Mark, and daughter, Olivia, his son Bart and his wife, Stefi, and their son, Mark, and daughter, Nikkie, and his daughter Victoria and her husband, Chris, and their daughter, Annemieke, and sons, Freddie and Henry. Mark spent the bulk of his career in food distribution. From 1992 until he retired in 1998 he was Chairman and CEO of Rykoff-Sexton/ US Foodservice Inc. During his tenure, the company grew to be the second largest broad-line foodservice distributor in the U.S.A. Prior to that he was President and CEO of G.V.A., the Netherlands foodservice division of Ahold Delhaize, and served in key management positions with Vendex N.V. and SHV Holdings. Since 1998, Mark had been an investor, advisor and director in many public and private companies, in a wide range of industries. He also served as an Operating Partner at Champlain Capital and was an Honorary Member of the Board of Trustees of the March of Dimes. Mark will be sincerely missed.

Orlow Medwin Walstad, Jr. died August 10, 2022, in Atlanta, GA. The oldest of five children, Med was born in Canton, Georgia, on May 5, 1944, to Orlow Medwin Walstad and Juanita Garrett Walstad. He attended school in Joplin, Missouri, where he lived with his family. Med graduated from Georgia Tech in 1966 with a degree in Industrial Management followed by graduate school at the University of Michigan in 1968 in Finance. While at Tech he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, and at Michigan he joined Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. Med married the former Knoxie Carlton of Union Point, Georgia, his wife of fifty-five years, who survives him.
