Ferst Readers of Putnam County hosts storybook contest

Ferst Readers of Putnam County is hosting a storybook character contest from May 1 through May 31. “The purpose in the contest is to raise money for the Ferst Readers foundation in Putnam County and to promote literacy and summer reading,” said Gail Farmer, member of Ferst readers of Putnam County.

New exhibit at MMCC features artist David Drake

EARTH BOUND brings new light to the life and work of artist David Drake, the en-slaved African-American whose works of pottery from the mid-1800's are now sought world-wide by museums and collectors.

Rumours: A Fleetwood Mac Tribue coming to The Plaza

The Southeast’s premier Fleetwood Mac tribute band, Rumours, is headed to The Plaza May 14. Bringing in Spring, the concert will be held outside on The Plaza lawn with spot-on renditions of your favorite Fleetwood Mac songs playing all night.
