Here’s the roundabout: Design revealed for planned traffic circle

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has just posted an official design for the much discussed and frequently feared roundabout to be constructed at the intersection of Highway 44/Lake Oconee Parkway and Linger Longer Road.

School system alleges LOA has violated its charter

The Lake Oconee Academy Board of Governors Wednesday responded to a Sept. 9 letter from Greene County School Superintendent Dr. Chris Houston that accused the district’s charter school of violating the terms of their charter agreement.

Council sets budget; hears economic development report

The city of Greensboro approved a new millage rate at this week’s city council meeting. A new millage rate of 5.723 was approved and reflects a decrease of .017 mills from last year’s rate of 5.74, according to City Manager Larry Postell. Council also approved a $13.

80 new jobs coming to Monticello

Governor Brian Kemp announced Sept. 15, that Profile Products, a global agriscience technology manufacturer, will invest nearly $35 million in launching a facility in Monticello that will provide 80 new jobs to Georgians. Based in Buffalo Grove, Ill.

LCMAU continues to aid war-torn Ukraine
