BREAKING: 17-year-old killed in shooting; another injured

One victim is dead, and another is hospitalized in intensive care after a shooting on Madison’s Morgan Circle on the evening of March 8. According to Madison’s Assistant Police Chief Colin Campbell, officers were dispatched to the Morgan Circle address at approximately 7:50 p.m.

Stolen concrete mixer leads GSP on 40-mile pursuit

The cement mixer fleeing westbound on I-20 Monday morning may have started out as a churning urn of burning funk but ended up a hefty hunk of steaming junk after Georgia State Patrol troopers disabled it just inside the Greene County line.
According to a report obtained from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, a Statesboro woman was arrested on Feb. 26 on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop on Apalachee Road near Hwy 441.
