Greensboro hires new city manager to start May 1

Greensboro city council approved the hire of a new city manager effective May 1. Current city manager Larry Postell will be retiring, having served under two mayoral administrations since 2002. He is expected to stay on for a period of 60-90 days to aid in the transition.

Teenager shot and killed in Madison, no suspects yet

One victim is dead, and another is hospitalized in intensive care after a shooting on Madison’s Morgan Circle on the evening of March 8.
According to Madison Assistant Police Chief Colin Campbell, officers were dispatched to the Morgan Circle address at approximately 7:50 p.m.
