2022 National Day of Prayer for Greene and Putnam counties had a record number of pastors

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people to pray for our nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

Georgia Parenting Project gives out diaper bags

Thanks to a very generous donation, the Georgia Parenting Project, Inc. has been giving out diapers, diaper bags and other baby supplies to parents and grandparents the past two weeks.

Harmony Crossing Farmer’s Market

Shannon’s Greenhouses had a wide selection of Spring floral arrangements for the home and garden at the Harmony Crossing Farmer’s Market, now in its eighth year. The market is open through the fall on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Farm fresh eggs are always a Farmer’s Market favorite for shoppers.

MCHS hosts second Educator Signing Day

The Morgan County High School (MCHS) held its annual Future Educator Signing Day on May 3. Kaleigh Sidwell started the event last year for her students in the Teaching Pathways program at MCHS. This year, Sidwell recognized 26 seniors signing to be a future educator.
