Georgia Parenting Project gives out diaper bags

Thanks to a very generous donation, the Georgia Parenting Project, Inc. has been giving out diapers, diaper bags and other baby supplies to parents and grandparents the past two weeks.

“Moms, dads and grandmothers in Putnam, Baldwin, Jones, Hancock, and Greene counties have been blessed with the free give-away, and we have many more to give to our families in need,” said Georgette Craig, director of GPP.

Anyone in need of diapers, a diaper bag, baby clothes, or toiletries should text their information and sizes needed to Craig at 404-590-9681.

To date, the program has given out more than 2,400 diapers and 60 backpack-diaper bags to 62 parents, Craig said. The grant program is available for Putnam, Greene, Hancock and Jones counties, however, needs in other surrounding counties are being met as well, Craig said.

“We also are in need of items like shampoo, toothpaste with toothbrush sets, and bodywash for babies and parents. We can’t touch the lives of these parents without our wonderful donors and sponsors,” Craig added.

Donations may be dropped off at H20 Adventures, 411 Pea Ridge Road, Eatonton. Donors also may link their Amazon accounts to the Georgia Parenting Project donor program by using the link https:// smile.amazon.com/ ch/82-4767085.
