Five things I wish people knew

There are a lot of things that I don’t know. Like, a lot. But, I have gathered a very short list of things that I wish people knew. 1. Art is for everyone. Whatever gender, age or socioeconomic status — art is for you. You can go outside and pick up a stick and draw in the dirt — that’s art.

GCHS graduate buys historic pharmacy in Union Point

A historic pharmacy in Union Point was bought by a pharmacist that grew up in Greene County and still lives on the 150-acre farm in Greensboro she was raised on.

The Plaza Arts Center in collaboration with The Arts Barn hosted their third coffee house. Coffee House is a monthly community event for high school students through adults. The community comes together to listen to music and theatre from young local artists while enjoying a nice beverage.

Southland Jubilee returns

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID, the city of Greensboro’s annual Southland Jubilee was held Saturday on the streets of downtown. Celebrated since 1998, the event attracts many to wander our historic streets enjoying a variety of local vendors, a car show and one of a kind art.
