Putnam County Habitat for Humanity officials and guests gathered on Nov. 1, on Eatonton’s Whippowill Drive to hand over the keys to its latest new home build this year. The nonprofit organization focuses on providing affordable housing for families to build economic stability and self-reliance.

Downtown Greensboro prepares for holiday season

The leaves are changing color and there is a chill in the air, which means that the holidays are close at hand. Downtown Greensboro will kick off its holiday season with the Lighting of the Tree from 6-8 p.m. on Dec. 2 on the courthouse lawn.
