MMCC prepares to open Andrews Legacy Exhibit

The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center (MMCC) will debut its Andrews Legacy Exhibit Oct. 29, featuring a local Black family that flourished under the trying system of sharecropping tenant farming, according to exhibit curator Martina Dodd.

HSMC hosts Pistons for Paws

The Humane Society of Morgan County (HSMC) held its annual Pistons for Paws Charity Car Show fundraiser Sept. 16 in downtown Madison. The show included trucks, motorcycles, classic muscle cars and even a couple of hearses.

Humane Society gets needed anonymous match

After a year of rising costs and a bout of Parvo that closed down the adoption center for two weeks, the treasurer of the Humane Society of Morgan County is projecting an annual shortfall of $50,000.

Morgan County High School football hosts youth night

The Morgan County High School football team and athletics department hosted youth night this past week. More than 100 young cheerleaders, youth football players and volunteer recreational coaches lined the field Friday night at Bill Corry Stadium before the Bulldogs’ game against Monroe Area.
