The downtown area of Eatonton came alive with two major events this past Saturday as the 23rd annual Taste of Eatonton presented by the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce, which took over The Plaza Square from 4 to 8 p.m.

As proof that education is fun, Girl Scouts of Eatonton went on a road trip Aug. 18-20, to explore Savannah and Tybee Island. “We chose Savannah because it is the birthplace of Girl Scouts,” troop leader Tiffany Ogden said.

The Georgia Chapter of Safari Club International (GA SCI) has partnered with local chemical-processing equipment manufacturer Glasslined Technologies, Inc. to present Sept. 18-20 at Lake Oconee, the inaugural Cast & Blast Wounded Veterans Celebration.
