Pro rodeo returns to Greene County

The Greene County Livestock Association and Greene County Extension have roped a milestone this year by bringing in the Bubba Oubre Rodeo Company for the 25th annual Greene County Pro Rodeo this weekend.

GCSS recognized for behavior program implementation

The Greene County School System has been recognized by the Georgia Department of Education for its implementation of the state-wide behavior initiative Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

Special day for special kids at MCHS

The 3rd annual Morgan County Special Olympics track-and-field event was held recently at Morgan County High School’s Bill Corry Stadium, where 73 Special Olympians from Greene and Morgan counties participated.

PCHS student wins statewide contest

The Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest announced state winners April 9 for its 2023-24 contest. Putnam County High School (PCHS) 10th grader Carlos Jimenez was named state winner in the writing competition for the George A. Stewart Jr. Character in Action Award.
