LOA’s Marulo named GHP finalist in mathematics

Lake Oconee Academy sophomore Shelby Marulo is the first student in Greene County to be nominated for the Governor’s Honors Program in mathematics. GHP is a residential summer program for talented, knowledgeable, and skilled high school sophomores and juniors.

Students celebrated at Special Olympics

On April 17, 86 students from Morgan and Greene counties participated in the Morgan County Special Olympics held at Bill Corry Stadium.The annual event kicked off with Covenant Park Church Pastor Danny Harrell leading the opening ceremony.

Make-A-Wish surpasses goal at Lake Oconee Wish Night

Make-A-Wish Georgia recently hosted its second annual Wish Night event at the Sandy Creek Barn at Reynolds Lake Oconee. This year’s event exceeded its fundraising goal, raising an impressive $250,000, which will support granting life-changing wishes for critically ill children in Georgia.
