The Greene County Christian Outreach board and staff have expressed their gratitude for the people of our community who make its mission possible.
By working together with Greene County churches, businesses, civic organisations, service agencies, and individuals, GCO provides material and emotional support to people in need.
Greene County Christian Outreach branched out on Nov. 7 by holding a one-day art supply sale in the middle of downtown Greensboro. The purpose was to sell as many art supplies as possible while reaching out to the community in a new way to increase awareness of our mission and our thrift shop. Both endeavors were successful thanks to Pastor Mark Jones III storing the supplies and helping load them up. Beronica Martinez (above) helped set up shop in her beautiful venue, Palms on Main.
Christian Outreach Manager Daby Benjamin welcomed customers and showcased a variety of paint, paintbrushes, Christmas stocking kits, and framed art. The conversations with old and new friends, the laughter, the doughnuts from Café Du Papa donated by a kind customer, the clean jokes shared, and the sales made all added up to a very profitable day.
Walk through our doors at 402 W. Broad St. in Greensboro if you would like to continue the conversation or learn more about GCO. Be sure to visit our website at greenecountychristianoutreach.org.
“Thank you for helping us to keep people in their homes, utilities on, and the water running,” Benjamin said. “We appreciate your support. Happy Thanksgiving!"
