Last Thursday night, the East Georgia Concert Chorale performed “Hearts and Minds United in Song,” a free, one-hour program to benefit Our Father’s Kitchen at First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro. A standing-room-only crowd enjoyed a magical evening of stunning music and song.

Family Connection hosts 2nd Annual Well-Being Summit

Greene County Family Connections held its 2nd annual Greene County Well-Being Summit on May 20 at Lakeside Church. The summit highlighted resources, services, and programs available throughout the community that support and improve the lives of children and families in Greene County.

Employees from Georgia-Pacific’s Madison Plywood facility recently joined Greensboro-based Neighbors Helping Neighbors to make a local impact, building and delivering beds to children in need across Greene and Putnam counties.

A new convenience store opened its doors in Eatonton on Memorial Day, but for owner Nilesh “Neil” Patel, the launch of Stop N Go represents more than just a business venture. It reflects blessings, tradition, and the effort to build something lasting in a community he calls home.

Madison hosts annual Ride for Freedom

The threat of rain thinned the herd of motorcycles making the trip from Loganville to Madison on Memorial Day. Still, it did not dampen the spirit of patriotism on display among those who chose to participate.

Del Webb donates to SANE

Del Webb Lake Oconee 100+ Who Care members donated $7,057 to SANE, Inc. in the organization’s second quarter.SANE, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit agency that serves 10 counties in Georgia, including Greene County.
