Tigers best Eagles in season opener

After playing a physical fall scrimmage against Putnam County, the Greene County football team began the regular season off on a positive note. The Tigers defeated the Eagles of Business Engineering Science and Technology (BEST) Academy 37-12 in a contest where they led the entire time.

Morgan County and Greene County will renew a historic rivalry on Friday night in Greensboro. Series History: Morgan County leads, 31-24-1 Last Meeting: Morgan County defeated Greene County 43-22 in 2022. Morgan County has owned its rival over Greene County as of late, winning 10 of 11 since 2010.

The Greene County football team traveled to Al Reaves Field last Friday to take on Putnam County in the Tigers’ fall scrimmage. Both teams played their starters in the first half and gave the rest of their depth charts experience in the second half.
