Former Eatonton police officer Michael Seth Perrault’s motion for a new trial was denied by Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Brenda Trammell on Friday, Sept. 2, according to court records.

Most Valuable Smiles recently opened in downtown Eatonton (122 W. Marion St.), where dentist Dr. Willie Oliver achieved his goal of returning to his hometown in order to benefit the community that raised him.

School may have just started, but it is already time for high school seniors to apply for college scholarships, and Lake Oconee Elks Lodge No. 2849 has announced the Elks National Foundation has kicked off its 2023 Most Valuable Student (MVS) scholarship contest.

Two months after the Supreme Court of Georgia reversed his conviction in the shooting death of his wife, Claud “Tex” McIver will be back in Fulton County jail awaiting a new trial. McIver received notice from the Fulton County District Attorney’s office that D.A.
