BOE holds forum on suspension of taxes for older homeowners

The Little Theater at Putnam County Middle School was abuzz with comments and complaints from about 60 local taxpayers on Dec. 6, as the Putnam County Board of Education hosted an information session about the ramifications of exempting senior citizens from paying school taxes.

Commissioners send final LOST offer

The Putnam County Board of Commissioners Tuesday night sent a 30-day take-it-or-leave-it offer to the Eatonton City Council on the split of the local option sales tax for the next 10 years.
