“Art is dynamite.” Those were the first words to flash across the screen last Thursday night at The Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton, to start a one-time presentation of “Rock & Chisel,” a bio-documentary of famed sculptor and painter Steffen Thomas.

Mocha House concludes live local acts series

The final Mocha House fundraiser of the year, the largest of the Coffee House series, was presented late last month by The Plaza Arts Center and The Arts Barn. It featured 23 acts, 20 performers, and a packed house with performers of all ages represented, from actors as young as seven-years-old to high school students to grandparents. The money raised from the sale of coffee and other concessions went directly to funding The Plaza Arts Center’s and The Arts Barn’s Summer Broadway Intensive.
