    In case you haven’t heard, the Circus McGurkus is in town! The world of Dr. Seuss is alive with The Plaza Arts Center and The Arts Barn’s presentation of Seussical, the musical event of the summer.

    Seussical is the culmination of two weeks of rehearsals with cast members coming from eight Middle Georgia counties to learn, act, and dance together. The Plaza and The Arts Barn’s Broadway Intensive is a two-week process where high school students and young adults learn an entire production.

    Directed by Broadway veteran Henry Scott, Seussical is this year’s performance of choice.

    Over 400 audience members entered the world of Seuss last weekend as the Broadway Intensive participants opened Seussical. With three stellar performances, the cast and crew got to present all of their hard work to entertain crowds.

    “I enjoyed it so much,” Wanda Lee commented on a picture from a Seussical performance.

    Adults and kids alike enjoyed seeing some of their favorite Dr. Seuss characters take the stage.

    “My grandsons were so excited,” Lynne Woods commented. “It was a great show.”

    Whether you’re a fan of musicals, a fan of Dr. Seuss, or just a big kid at heart, there is something in this show for you.
