LOA coaches challenge players at padded camp

Lake Oconee Academy football wrapped up its summer schedule last week by competing in a padded camp.The Titans made the short drive to Eatonton on Tuesday and Thursday to participate in a camp at Putnam County High School alongside 10 other teams.

Titans begin summer with QB battle

The Lake Oconee Academy football team began its summer practice schedule last week.The team didn’t have spring practice, so head coach Patrick Stewart was eager to see his players hit the field.

LOA’s Reid Davis finds college home

Lake Oconee Academy linebacker Reid Davis has decided where he will play football at the next level.Davis recently committed to Berry College, an NCAA Division III program in Rome. He is now happy to be a Viking.

Titans garner all-region accolades

Multiple players on Lake Oconee Academy’s football team recently garnered All-Region honors after coaches of Class A Division II’s Region 8 voted six Titans to the first and second teams. Two other Titans also made the honorable mention list for their 2024 on-field performances.

Washington-Wilkes ends Titans’ playoff hopes

Washington-Wilkes leaned on quarterback Tamari Curry to defeat Lake Oconee Academy 20-13 last Friday.Curry broke off a long run, evading defenders to score the go-ahead touchdown, giving the Tigers the lead with 3:59 left.

LOA’s Reid Davis chases his college dream

Lake Oconee Academy’s Reid Davis has put together a strong senior season and is now gaining the attention of college programs.Davis, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound tight-end and linebacker, has been a bright spot for the Titans this season.

Tigers, Titans to meet on field for first time

The wait is finally over.The two schools in Greensboro on Highway 44 – Greene County and Lake Oconee Academy – will meet for the first time on the gridiron at Tiger Stadium on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

LOA drops region opener against Warren County

Last Friday, Warren County defeated Lake Oconee Academy 30-14, which was similar to the team’s first loss.After starting the season 5-0, the Titans have lost back-to-back games, including their region opener.

Titans determined to get a win against Lincoln County

Lake Oconee Academy is currently riding a two-game losing streak after starting the year winning five straight.The Titans currently sit at 5-2 on the year and 0-1 in region play. After losses to Landmark Christian and Warren County, they are determined to get another win under their belt.
