Titans drop season opener to Mount Paran

Lake Oconee Academy opened its season last Friday with a 7-0 road loss to Mount Paran Christian.It was a storm-ridden week all across the state, and that hurt the Titans with their preparation for this game.

Commitment key to LOA's success in 2025

Lake Oconee Academy had a disappointing end to last season, losing five straight games and missing the playoffs after starting 5-0.In the offseason, the Titans lost key leaders like Ike O’Neal, Reid Davis, and Cam Kelley, and now seek younger players to fill those roles.

LOA senior Dylan Hiter embraces new role on Titans’ offense

Lake Oconee Academy’s Dylan Hiter has faced adversity throughout his high school football career. He’s fought through several injuries during his time as a Titan but hopefully has reached the other side of them.

Titans to open season on the road

Lake Oconee Academy will open up its 2025 season against Mount Paran Christian this Friday on the road.The Titans scrimmaged Social Circle this past week and played well, tying the Redskins 14-14 when the varsity played. However, when the junior varsity squads came in, Social Circle edged LOA, 12-0.

Area football teams host scrimmages this week

High school football in Georgia began on Friday, Aug. 1, as teams across the state participated in scrimmages.This week, scrimmages will continue.

LOA coaches challenge players at padded camp

Lake Oconee Academy football wrapped up its summer schedule last week by competing in a padded camp.The Titans made the short drive to Eatonton on Tuesday and Thursday to participate in a camp at Putnam County High School alongside 10 other teams.

Titans begin summer with QB battle

The Lake Oconee Academy football team began its summer practice schedule last week.The team didn’t have spring practice, so head coach Patrick Stewart was eager to see his players hit the field.

LOA’s Reid Davis finds college home

Lake Oconee Academy linebacker Reid Davis has decided where he will play football at the next level.Davis recently committed to Berry College, an NCAA Division III program in Rome. He is now happy to be a Viking.

Titans garner all-region accolades

Multiple players on Lake Oconee Academy’s football team recently garnered All-Region honors after coaches of Class A Division II’s Region 8 voted six Titans to the first and second teams. Two other Titans also made the honorable mention list for their 2024 on-field performances.

Washington-Wilkes ends Titans’ playoff hopes

Washington-Wilkes leaned on quarterback Tamari Curry to defeat Lake Oconee Academy 20-13 last Friday.Curry broke off a long run, evading defenders to score the go-ahead touchdown, giving the Tigers the lead with 3:59 left.
