The City of Madison and Morgan County have both signed an intergovernmental agreement to renew the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax that will generate nearly $47 million for government entities to fund projects inside Morgan County.

Following a Jan. 2 ruling by Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Judge Stephen A. Bradley that dismissed a lawsuit that could have halted development for an electric vehicle manufacturing plant for Rivian, the plaintiffs have appealed.

$25M recreation facility set to open early next year

Madison declares stormwater emergency on Candler Lane

Madison City Council is moving forward with an emergency plan to correct stormwater issues causing serious concerns on Candler Lane.
The situation there was serious enough for the council to have a special called meeting on Jan. 12 to discuss a solution.
