Tigers top Trinity Prep, LOA

After narrowly defeating Trinity Prep 51-50 in Loganville this past Friday, Greene County topped Lake Oconee Academy easily, beating the Titans 59-44 in a rivalry game the following day. After those two victories last week, the Tigers improved to 10-4 overall and 5-0 in region play.

Tigers on a roll with 6th-straight win

Greene County added to its win total with a slim 70-69 victory on Dec. 19 over rival Hancock Central.

Tigers fall to Putnam, rebound with win over Aquinas

The Greene County boys’ basketball team (2-3) is starting to find its stride five games into the year. After knocking off Taliaferro County in the 2023-24 season opener, the Tigers dropped three consecutive games. They lost to Putnam County twice (76-69; 80-76) and Morgan County (43-39).

Tigers begin second season under Wright

The Greene County boys’ basketball team began its second season under head coach Mark Wright in a positive way last week with a dominant 82-26 victory over region foe Taliaferro County. The Tigers played with a full roster in their season opener, which they didn’t get to do last season.

Titans end Tigers' season in opening round of region tournament

After defeating Lake Oconee Academy twice already this season, Greene County fell to the Titans 54-37 in the first round of the Class A Division II Region 8 tournament on Monday. The No. 6-seed Tigers will now miss out on the state playoffs with the loss to No. 7-seed LOA.

Tigers win two straight over Titans, Patriots

The Greene County boys basketball team found some momentum this past weekend after winning consecutive games for the first time this season.

BASKETBALL: Tigers’ defense helps topple Titans on the road

The Greene County boys’ basketball team got back on the right track by beating a region rival last Friday night to start the new year. The Tigers traveled to Lake Oconee Academy for their first region game of 2023 and defeated the Titans 47-37.

BASKETBALL: Tigers to start 2023 playing cross-town rivals

It has been a rough start for the Greene County boys’ basketball team, but that’s to be expected with a program’s first-year head coach and a mostly new roster. As the players and staff have had time to come together as a unit, the Tigers have found more success.

After a long offseason, the Greene County boys’ basketball team finally got to step foot on the court and turn its practice into progress this past Tuesday.

BASKETBALL: New coach, new team

After going just 6-17 in the 2021 season, Greene County has reshaped the Tigers’ whole program heading into 2022. First off, only a handful of players on the Tigers roster played on the team last year.
